This spring’s Region 11 conference will provide valuable training for news industry veterans who need to keep their skills sharp to not only survive but flourish. And we’ll have lots of chances for students and young journalists to connect with peers and find out how to prepare for the opportunities out there. Yes, there are plenty of chances to get started in the journalism business – and we’ll show you the way.

We have some exciting and timely programs in the works, including a not-to-be-missed Saturday Super Session focusing on the “Rush to Publish: Why Getting There First Isn’t Always Gold.” More details about programs and the schedule of events is available here. Opening Reception:

Mark of Excellence Awards: SOLD OUT!

At lunch on Saturday, April 13, join us to honor the hard-working and talented students receiving Mark of Excellence Awards, SPJ’s recognition of the best of student journalism.

Tickets are just $35 for students and $40 for guests. Note: you do not need to register for the conference in order to attend the MOE lunch. Tickets are sold separately.

Conference Rates:

Registration is $80 for non-SPJ members, $65 for SPJ members, and $40 for all students. The Mark of Excellence (MOE) student awards luncheon will be ticketed separately at $35 for students and $40 for guests. REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, APRIL 5.
